About Your Framed Canvas Print
The photograph is printed on a 38mm fine art stretched canvas and mounted in a floating frame. Canvas prints have white wrapped sides. The canvas is hand finished by an experienced canvas framing team, who ensure each corner fold is perfectly smooth and tight. The canvas frame is milled with a curved profile, minimizing contact with the face of the canvas. This prevents unsightly impression marks and surface cracking. Finger jointed canvas frames are used to create corner tension, which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, a wooden ‘wedge’ is added to each corner to keep the canvas surface taut while allowing for easy re-stretching in future years. The solid wood "floating" frame creates a completely new form of wall art, quite distinct from a standard canvas print. The thin frame sits approximately 5mm from the edge of the canvas which helps create a floating border.
